The Final route check of the upcoming Mahindra Tri Nation Expedition was successfully completed by  Philip George.

The recce started on the 13th of August 2012 from Noida. The team comprised of Philip (Team XSO), Harish (Team RVentures) & the Mahindra Scorpio (7238).

Route: Noida- Gorakhpur- Sanauli Border- Bhairawa- Butwal – Pokhara- Kathmandu- Chitwan- Biratnagar- Birtamod- Naxalbari- Bhagdogra- Siliguri- Chalsa- Jaigaon- Phoentsholing- Chalsa- Siliguri- Gorakhpur & back to Noida….

10 days, 4080 Kms round trip, almost all good roads with 5% really bad roads, very nice & helpful people everywhere, good food, humid weather……..

The scenery along most of the routes are fantastic……green all round with lots of waterfalls and lakes……..!

The expedition itinerary (11th Sept to 22nd Sept 2012) is:

Day 1: Noida – Sidharthnagar (Nr Sanauli Border)

Day 2: Border Crossing to Nepal, Lumbini and to Chitwan Forests

Day 3: Chitwan to Pokhara

Day 4: Pokhara to Kathmandu

Day 5: Rest Day

Day 6: Kathmandu to Biratnagar

Day 7: Biratnagar to Chalsa (India)

Day 8: Chalsa to Paro (Bhutan)

Day 9: Paro

Day 10: Paro

Day 11: Paro to Chalsa

Day 12: Chalsa to Bhagdogra and fly-out……
