Last but not the least. Leg five takes you to the finish line at Jaipur but not without some sting to test your endurance and never say die spirit.
Xtreme:
Starting at 0300hrs is always difficult. But spare a thought for the officials who would have left much before you even woke up to set the stage. The first short section – short as in about forty kilometers –
is run in darkness. Some moonlight would be there – what ever you can get from two day new moon – along with brilliantly lit sky. Will it be cold? Cannot predict but during the recce ice froze on our tents.
The second stage is not very long either – by Desert Storm standards – and get you out on to National Highway #11. A long transport after this takes to the end of the rally at Jaipur.
Xplore:
If Xtreme gets out at 0300hrs we do not think Xplore should stay warm in beds any time way past this. So the last day of the rally will see the competition heading out of Bikaner at this pre-dwan hour to go
through some more back roads. We have made sure that the road books are correct but in case you do get lost our advise is to wait for some day light and villagers to wake up. They are helpful lot and will
guide you towards National Highway #11 where you can take direction towards Jaipur and the end of rally.
