The days are longer and competitive stages are considerable percentage of total driving for the crews. This leg takes the cake. Almost eighty percent of driven distance is competitive.

Xtreme:
The day for fast drives and drifting turns. The recce team had
difficult time leaving the section. Once as they got engrossed in
drift driving. Second time because the car caught fire – almost!!
Watch out for fire, due to accumulation of dry grass around components
of your exhaust system and chassis member, as the recce team
discovered to their horror when they stopped for a “P” break in middle
of no where. There are three section for the day.
The first of the long sections of the day takes you through lake beds,
grassland, sand rocky hills and pebbly outcrops. The never ending
nature coupled with ever changing directions can be disconcerting for
the driver and navigator. A small but fast special section invites you
to test the limits of your vehicle speed. With wide open views and
flat land terrain it is a drifters delight. Watch out for sudden
breaking with no adhesion when the vehicle is slipping on pebbles!
A repeat run back long the first section completes the satisfying day!

Xplore:
A convoluted path is taken from morning start to test the navigation
ability of the crews. The highlight of the day will be halt at the
Border Post Longewala – the historic spot where a small company of
brave soldiers repulsed an entire tank regiment of the enemy. Also
drive through some of the most beautiful desert dunes is in the menu.
